PE-Lined Pipe Production for Yiu Lian Dockyards

This archived Irwin report records an early local-production order for PE-lined seawater pipe at Yiu Lian Dockyards in Shekou. The reported scope covered more than 100 pipe items completed during a short repair window.

Rotational lining process

The report describes a custom polyethylene lining formed on the internal surface of steel pipe. The process can be applied to different pipe shapes and sizes to create a continuous corrosion barrier while retaining the structural role of the steel carrier pipe.
