Polyethylene (PE) coated pipes are suitable for applications where moisture barrier properties are important and that’s why PE coated steel pipe is used in ships. In simple words, PE coating seals the package and can be one-sided or two-sided. There are three types of PE coating popular these days: LDPE, LDPE Super Seal, and HDPE. From all the three types, HDPE has a higher temperature limit and can withstand abrasion better.
