Irwin Marine Group which includes Irwin Rotational Lining and Irwin Marine Services was founded in 2010. Irwin Rotational Lining (IRL) is the first PE Lining company that has completed a Product Design Assessment (PDA) with the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).This resulted in the world’s leading manufacturer of PE lined carbon steel pipe and provider of refurbished piping.
IRL is the pipe refurbishment and coating division of Irwin Marine Services and was founded in response to the lack of quality coating and pipe refurbishment options at Chinese shipyards With certified ISO9001:2008.ISO14001:2004 and ISO45001:2008 programs, we adhere to strict policies for safety, environmental protection and quality.
With a full portfolio of ABS qualified welding procedures to ASME IX, IRL can meet all your requirements for coded carbon steel fabrication, PE lining and proper application of external paint systems under one roof. IRL’s patented pipe refurbishment process allows ship owners to extend the life of their seawater pipes by 10 plus years for a fraction of the price of renewing the pipes.

WHAT WE DO
We has 90,000 sqft of factory space dedicated to:
- Fabrication of carbon steel pipe and pressure vessels to ABS, ASME IX and AWS D1.1 Codes
- Rotational polyethylene lining of carbon steel pipes and pressure vessels by our patented rotational lining process
- Pipe refurbishment where we turn your old pipes into better than the original pipes for about 50% of the price of renewal.
- Pipe Dimensional Control Solutions
IRL fabricates PE lined carbon steel pipe sets for Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS) and Exhaust Gas Management Systems (EGMS).
IRL PE lines carbon steel pipes fabricated by other companies like shipyards and other pipe manufacturers. These pipes are often used in retrofits for BWTS and EGMS as well as seawater pipes for vessel new-buildings. IRL also PE lines carbon steel pipes fabricated by other companies used in the mining, oil and gas, and produced water applications. If the working fluid is seawater, PE lined carbon steel should be considered.
Our workshop and processes were developed from the ground up to meet the tight coating and refurbishment deadlines for periodic vessel dockings.
