Irwin Marine Services completed their first major order of PE lined pipes for a client at Yiu Lian Dockyards Shekou<\/strong>; initial order being for over 100 PE lined seawater pipes on tight 72\u2011hour deadlines. \n \"Rotational\n <\/div>\n\n

The process for custom built PE lining of pipes requires specialized coating ovens able to evenly melt a 2\u201110mm thick layer of PE to the inside of pipes. A major advantage of the rotational lining process is that pipes of nearly any shape and size are perfectly lined with a thick seamless lining.<\/p>\n\n

This lining has superior anti\u2011corrosion characteristics equal to glass reinforced epoxy (GRE) pipes but at a fraction of the price, plus the structural advantages of steel pipes.<\/p>\n\n

Schaus said, \u201cOur engineers worked around the clock to meet the tight delivery deadlines and because of their hard work, we succeeded on deadlines that other companies said were impossible.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n

In addition to Yiu Lian Dockyards, Irwin Marine Services has provided their PE coated products to quality conscious customers like Maersk, CMA CGM, JPO Oltman and Hammonia Reederei<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n
